Homage à la Bourgeoise. Louise Bourgeois, a famous artist, tells her tangerine story in the movie, The Spider, The Mistress, and The Tangerine. She speaks of a humiliation suffered as a young girl while weeping, and carving a figure out of an orange skin. My book opens with a clip from the movie and proceeds to show how I enjoy placing tangerine figures wherever I can in my own and others' homes.
